It’s from the episode Turnabout Intruder , the final episode of Star Trek, where one of Captain Kirk’s crazy ex-girlfriends uses a machine to switch bodies with Kirk. So that’s the crazy ex-gf’s mind feeling her new Kirk face.

It is also a terrible episode. Unfortunately the original series went out with less of a bang and more of a whimper.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Star Trek, even bad Star Trek. I’ve seen every episode of every series many times. Star Trek is my tv comfort food. As soon as I saw the gif I knew which episode it was from.

But it’s still a bad episode.
